  INTRODUCTION

The Media and Entertainment industry is going through some remarkable transformations over the last five years. The industry is becoming increasingly ‘corporatized’. This means that large, professionally run companies, are moving aggressively into the media industry. Secondly, the industry is becoming increasingly international. Many Indian media companies now have offices and business interests abroad and we are seeing a growing number of international co-productions – media companies in different countries working together to create and distribute content.
