What is the difference between online learning and correspondence  mode?

Correspondence Mode of Learning: -

In Correspondence mode only Student Study Material (SSM) are provided and the examination is to be written at the nearest center. Online/Offline classes can be offer by paying additional charges.

What is an Assignment?

Assignments are important components of a learning programme. It is a self-learning procedure. Assignments are based on entire curriculum

Assignment is a part of the curriculum. It carries a weightage of 30%

Do I have to attend regular classes?

No. There are no regular classes for the correspondence students. However a student wish to have weekend classes, he/ she can avail at the nearest study centres by paying extra fees. It depends upon the batches available.

When do I get the Study Materials?

You can get the study materials within 15 days from the deposit of fees.

When are examinations held?

The examination are conducted twice in a year, i.e. in the month of June and December.

Where do I need to go for examinations?

You can give your exams at University campus or proctor mode as well. 

Examination in a proctored environment is taken with time limits that you complete while online proctoring software monitors your computer. Proctoring software checks that you (as the person taking the exam) are the same person who is taking the course for credit, and detects any attempts to cheat on the exam.

All proctored exams are timed exams, in which you have a time limit to complete the exam. When a proctored exam starts, a countdown timer at the top of the programme page also begins. The countdown timer gives a warning when 20% of the time remains, and again when 5% of the time is left. For instance, if you have 60 minutes to complete the exam, you will get a warning when only 12 minutes left, and again when only 3 minutes are left.

If time runs out before you have completed the exam, the proctoring review is still submitted, and any answers that you have completed up to that time are also submitted. If you pass the proctoring review, you might still qualify for a passing grade with the answers you have submitted. 

What is the criteria for passing a subject?

For Post Graduate:

To qualify in a semester a student has to obtain minimum 5.0 Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) and to qualify in the program, a student has to obtain minimum 6.0 Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA).

Will I be promoted to the next semester if I fail in previous semester?

Yes. You can enroll yourself for the next semester even if you have failed in the previous semester. You can reappear in the failed exam during supplementary exams conducted in Feb & Aug. The programme has to be completed within the prescribed period.

Is the fee Refundable?

No, Fee once paid is not refundable as per rules of University.

When I’ll get my mark sheet and degree?

After your end term examinations, we announce a date for result declaration and then we send a mail to all students for convocation, which is generally held in November and December.  So, you have to attend convocation for collecting your degree.  For the mark sheet, you can see in the student zone.
